Greenlight Networks expanding to Greece

Greenlight Networks, a local company offering high-speed internet service, is expanding to the town of Greece.

It's one of the first towns on the west side of Monroe County to bring Greenlight Networks to the area. The company now serves residential and small business customers in Brighton, East Rochester, Fairport, Henrietta, Irondequoit, Penfield, Pittsford, Rochester, Webster, and West Henrietta.

The expansion is based on customer demand. In order to sign up for Greenlight Networks, residents must register on Greenlight's website. The "Greenlight Districts" that reach their order goal fastest will be first to see the construction of the company's services.

“I am excited to officially announce that Greenlight Networks is now available to Town of Greece residents,” Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich said. “I have been working with Greenlight Networks President Mark Murphy and his staff and various department heads here in the Town of Greece for nearly 3 years to implement a plan to bring Greenlight Networks to Greece. Since many easements and right-of-ways are owned by the Town of Greece, I anticipate that the process of installation will be a smooth one”.

The company plans to start construction in "Greenlight Districts" in Greece later this year.

As News10NBC reported last month, Greenlight plans to hire 20 people by the end of this year and double installation by January.
